Ant-Man and The Wasp is a 2018 American superhero film produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Directed by Peyton Reed and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the movie is a sequel to the 2015 film Ant-Man, which introduced audiences to the character of Scott Lang, played by Paul Rudd. In this sequel, Scott Lang is on house arrest after the events of Captain America: Civil War. Meanwhile, Hope van Dyne, played by Evangeline Lilly, and her father Dr. Hank Pym, played by Michael Douglas, are trying to find a way to rescue Hope's mother Janet van Dyne, played by Michelle Pfeiffer, from the quantum realm. The quantum realm is a microscopic universe that Janet became trapped in many years ago during a mission with Hank as the original Wasp. The plot revolves around the search for Janet van Dyne, as well as the appearance of a new villain called Ghost, played by Hannah John-Kamen. Ghost has the ability to phase through objects, which makes her a formidable opponent for Ant-Man and The Wasp. Along the way, we also get to see some interesting new characters like Bill Foster, played by Laurence Fishburne, who is a former colleague of Hank's, and Sonny Burch, played by Walton Goggins, who is a black market dealer trying to get his hands on Pym's technology. One of the standout aspects of Ant-Man and The Wasp is the chemistry between Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly. They have great on-screen chemistry and are a joy to watch together. This movie also does a great job of showcasing the abilities of The Wasp. She is a badass superhero in her own right and is not just a sidekick to Ant-Man. The action scenes in the movie are well choreographed and a lot of fun to watch. Another highlight of the movie is the humor.
